how do you do this type of mathematical equation?

(4x4) + (4x4) +4 - (4x4)?

or literally 4x4+4x4+4-4x4 ?

both give very different answers.

cheers in advance.

ps your not helping me with homework, im 35 and probably should know better.

Why do it the long way when + (4x4) - (4x4) can be eliminated immediately so it's simply....

(4x4) +4 = 20

But... what does the "O" in BODMAS stand for? I was always taught BIDMAS where the I = Indices.

O stands for Other. So anything not covered by BDMOS

A bit of googling shows our friends over the pond use PEMDAS (Parentheses, Exponents, ....)

Sorry KaHn but "over" is just wrong

Orders, Indices or Exponents all makes sense!
