I've created this thread for a number of reasons:

1. Keep driver updates in one place

2. Help others out with driver issues

3. Post up known fixes for certain games/driver revisions.

Also seen a fair few 'don't use AMD the drivers are crud' comments lately based on drivers used two years ago (I know, I know). If this is true we will see it materialise in this thread, also solutions when possible.

Don't forget to report any issues directly to AMD (will put a link in when I get home).

Please please please do not turn this into one long pointless argument about who has the better drivers, any baiting comments I will request to have deleted.

If posting solutions please mention if you're using any 3rd party applications such as radeonpro.

Open to suggestion on any improvements, if anyone wants to start an nvidia alternative to this thread please do, it could help us isolate game engine issues rather then driver issues.

Drivers:

We're working on the CrossFire frame pacing driver for the June/July timeframe. It has a metering mechanism that will ensure consistent delivery of frame intervals, at the expense of some small input lag, via a rolling analytical algorithm.

In the interim, vsync and/or DFC can reduce or virtually eliminate multi-GPU frame pacing issues.

We take this issue very seriously, and have considerable resources allocated to addressing it fully and properly.

Latest WHQL:

13.4 WHQL - http://www2.ati.com/drivers/13-4_vista_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc_whql.exe

Latest BETA:

13.8 BETA 2 - http://www2.ati.com/drivers/beta/amd_catalyst_13.8_beta2.exe
13.8 BETA - http://www2.ati.com/drivers/beta/amd_catalyst_13.8_beta.exe
OpenGL 4.3 Beta Driver - http://www2.ati.com/drivers/beta/AMD_Catalyst_Win8.1_Release_Preview_V2-13.15.100.1.exe

Latest CAP:

13.5 CAP 1 - http://www2.ati.com/drivers/hotfix/catalyst_application_profiles/AMD_Catalyst_13.5_CAP1.05212013.exe
13.4 CAP 1 - http://www2.ati.com/drivers/hotfix/catalyst_application_profiles/AMD_Catalyst_13.4_CAP1.exe

IF YOU HAVE A DRIVER ISSUE REPORT IT!!

If a driver contains newer built-in profiles than the installed CAP, the installed CAP will be ignored for those entries. The driver will fall back to the CAP in absence of a built-in driver profile. The latest CAP is always suggested.

PGI's performance recommendation: 13.8 BETA, frame pace drivers, highly recommended for multiple card users

PGI's stability recommendation: 13.4 WHQL with 13.4 CAP1 & 13.5 CAP 1

So to round up, current issues with 13.5 Beta 8:

NONE AS OF YET!

KNOWN FIXES

FIFA 2013:

Fix lag issue when using in-game Vsync - shankly1985

The Fix
Download RadeonPro and create a profile, set Vsync to always on and also tick box lock frame rate to monitor's refresh rate.
In-game settings disable Vsync and set to lock at 60FPS.

Fix stutter using multiple cards - pgi947

Create a profile for fifa13.exe in CCC's profile manager (over-ride current settings) and set crossfire to disable. Will now run noticeably smoother on a single card

Far Cry 3

**This game has engine issues so do not expect perfection**

Create a profile in RadeonPro with the following settings:

Tweaks
Vsync Always on and disabled ingame
Triple buffering - on
Lock frame rate up to monitors refresh rate - on
Disable Aero
Force Process high priority
Advanced settings
Texture filtering Quality - High
Mipmap Quality - High

Alternatively try running the game in DX9 rather than DX11

Metro: Last Light

*FIXED in latest game patch* - Flickering issue, is a problem for both AMD and Nvidia users. Metro developers have recognised it is an engine problem and are working on an in-game patch.

Please check PCGW for any other game fixes!! - http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Home

No harm in starting a thread on new drivers, I'll just update the op as they arrive, make it easier for someone to tell which is the latest and/or best to date, as we all know some newer betas can have flaws older drivers don't :)

So if anyone has any solutions to getting certain games working better please post them. I'll also link to the pcgames wiki someone on reddit started, it's a database to game fixes ;)

AMD drivers so bad they get their own thread :D

Seriously though, looking forward to trying out the new memory management drivers. Although I don't have anything to compare directly side by side anymore they're now feeling as smooth as my 680s did. Will be nice to see if I can perceive any difference.

I will sort out the op with links to everything once I get home ;)

Hopefully the end result will help people recommend cards based on fact and not hearsay.

"I play games x y & z, what brand do I want" can then be pointed here and hopefully an nvidia counterpart and work from that :)

That's a handy fix as when i last played that it had some stutter.

Any driver apart from the latest officials will crash Football Manager 2013 for me.
In the officials, I can't play in 3D mode.

Help meh!

:p

LOL! Please uninstall football manager and leave the forum immediately. :p

Mr Pgi tips i have a request to make. Remove the 12.11 caps link in your second post as all amd drivers (even 13.1 WHQL) include the latest caps file already and the caps files included is newer than 12.11.
