DPD is an absolute joke

I'm sat in the office on a Friday night at 7pm even though they were here delivering something else 12 hours ago.

Let's deliver something to a business address at 7pm on a friday, genius

No a Corsair 750d. Worst thing is I have been to the pub so I'm also going to have to pay for a taxi when I could've gotten a lift...

What good would ringing up and complaining do? It's not going to make the parcel suddenly appear, is it?

Oh, boo hoo. You can go on their site to track your delivery and change the time slot and delivery address. You could have gone home and had it delivered there instead, but no, you had to come have a moan on the internet because we all care so much about your late delivery. Please keep us up to date on this most important event!

It's not DPD. It's a DPD franchise.
Our local franchise is brilliant.

This. Why I had my GTX780Ti delivered, I was spying on the driver the whole way as he was making his rounds!

DPD are great here. We did have a very rare hiccup last Friday but a couple of calls got the driver back to us.

To the best of my knowledge, DPD is not run as a franchise. Owner driver franchises, yes - but subcontracting like this is widespread in the courier world. As far as I know the actual depots themselves are not franchises.

Each depot will likely have it's own P&L, it's own management structure etc.... but that doesn't make it a franchise.
