Well done :)

I really need to upgrade my graphics card but I'm putting it off at the moment. Very tempted by this card but also think it would be overkill :(.

Great score, guessing this was on universal blocks? I imagine it would be even better on the full block released now (and more so with LN2 of course).

Do it man!!!

The rest of your system is begging for it!!!

The problem is I'm not sure I can justify the extra cost of this compared to a decent 290 or a cheaper 290X.

I'm using 2 23" 1080p screens right now, usually only game on one. I'd like to upgrade to 3 screens at some point (replacing all 3 screens in the process) but no clue if/when I would be doing that.

Two 290s would mean spending £140-£260 more. I would imagine the electric bill for two 290s would be more than it will with this card too.

I saw a new MSI with Twin Frozr for £280 two days ago, would make it £560, £60 more than the R9 290x, up to you of course not my money but just seems weird to me.

Would the total energy cost be higher or lower with the 290s?

Higher but when spending £500 on a card what is £30 in electric over the year :)

I'll stick with this card, I'm sure it will be more than powerful enough for me and the increased electric bill adds up eventually.
