He is one of the most respected monitor reviewers on the internet - check out his list of reccomendations. His top pick, the EV2736 can currently be had for for £360 if you look for it - a huge saving compared to its original retail price of ~£800 when it was released.
Editing to add that its the grey model for £360, the black version is around £550!

Just an update on my above post - I actually ordered two of them. Eizo are along with NEC the two companies that display proffesionals will use (albiet at much higher price points). The EV2736 is their entry level monitor but my god is it perfect.
On both of my models there is absolutely no back light bleed, no IPS glow (i dont know how) and uniformity is the best I've ever seen.
