OcUK Tech Labs Noise Dampening O-Rings for Cherry MX Keyboards - Black - 125 pieces @ £5.99 inc VAT

KB-000-TL_400.jpg

After months of testing various products, we finally found an O-Ring size that provided perfect feedback whilst doing an effective job at damping switch noise.

Mechanical keyboards are amazing and with the gaming market becoming more geared up for using mechanical boards, OcUK has taken note of the increasing demand to reduce the only downside of Mechanical Keyboard use. Noise.

These O-Rings are designed to be rolled onto the stalks of the underside of Cherry MX mechanical keyboards. Each O-Ring serves as a damper for the key by reducing the 'throw' of each switch as well as softening the 'bottoming out' noise when a mechanical switch comes to the end of its 'throw'.

Whilst not removing all noise entirely, many of our testers have stated that it reduces noise and clatter from the keyboard as well as giving a softer and more pleasant typing experience.

Compatible with any Cherry MX Switch based mechanical keyboard.

Zowie FK Pro Gaming Mouse - 2014 Edition @ £29.99 inc VAT

KB-034-ZW_400.jpg

The FK is similar to the AM in terms of specifications and features, and they are both ambidextrous mice developed for gamers who prefer a claw-grip play style, but that is where the similarities end.

Following the positive feedback from the EC1 EVO CL Zowie presents the FK 2014 with the uprated IR LED and 24 step Scroll wheel.

Furthermore the FK features a new coating, which feels smooth and fine like regular rubber paint, but has increased resistance towards wear and tear. The coating helps increase grip for gamers with tendency to sweaty palms and it is easy to clean!

- PI (Dots Per Inch): 450 / 1150 / 2300
- 24 step scroll wheel
- Connector: USB
- Buttons: 5
- Length of cable: 2m / 6,6 ft

Tempted by the rings, do browns need them though? They dont make the keys spongy do they?

Nope they just stop some of the bottoming out noise you may get (depending how heavy fingered you are!). End of the travel may feel 'dampened' (maybe spongy) but your actuation is above there so you shouldn't be bottoming them out anyway ;)

Yup work fine on Reds, I actually prefer the feel of the reds on my '78 with them than without (probably because I came from Browns).

Thank you for the info. Unfortunately I forgot to place an order before I went out last night  Hopefully I'll pick them up if they go back on offer some other time.
