Hey.

I'm thinking of adding one of my IDE HDD's again for Windows XP, but I'm wondering, will this slow Windows Vista down in any way on my SATA hdd, will it slow my SATA HDD down at all?

Thanks
Willz.

Ah right, thanks.

Just another question, I'm going to install XP, but have Vista on, last time I tried getting the Vista bootloader back I totalled both installations, I think I used Vista boot pro aswell, what exactly do I do to get the Vista boot loader back after installing XP? I just messed everything up.

Have a read through this.

Thanks :)

Well, I've got a problem now, I'm transfering 4gb of data from one partition on my IDE hdd to a Partition on my SATA drive, and the transfer rate is 700kb/sec, and its got up to 22mb/sec, is that normal and is the 22mb/sec about right?

When I transfered it back over from the SATA HDD to the IDE HDD my transfer rate went streight to 31MB/Sec and stayed around that.
