If I were to switch from ADSL to Virgin Cable, would I need a new wireless router or will the same one work?

Do I recall the connectors being different?

yes (unless you own a router that has a incomming ethanet port), cable is usually from modem to router through ethanet then to pc through ethanet or wireless

If its an ADSL modem router, it may not work with the cable modem over one of the ethernet ports (some cheap models seem to have this problem anyway).

you need an uplink ethernet port (WAN), most adsl routers don't have these so yes it's most likely you will need a new router.

Do as I did when going from ADSL to VM - get a WRT54GL v1.1 for £41 and install the Thibor 15c firmware on it, it will never need a reboot after that ;o
