I've gave some friends a lift back from a night out last night, as one of my friends got out of the back of the car I noticed there was chewing gum on the carpet behind the seat. The car is only 6 months old

Any ideas how I can remove it?

Take carpet out & put it in the Freezer. Once frozen it will chip off nicely. Or if you can't get the carpet out use one of those fire extinguishers that will freeze it then chip it off :)

Yep, as said, freeze it, then chip it off!

Easiest way to freeze it would be an upside down sprayduster (can of compressed air).

I used a sharp modelling blade and sliced it out of the carpet, it caused minimal loss of the carpet strands and you cant even notice that there was any chewing gum there.
