A new BIOS has been released for the Abit IP35 motherboard. I have a problem with my computer because when I turn it on, it comes on then turns itself off and then back on again...it then works perfectly.

I spoke to Abit and they said it is a BIOS problem that will be fixed in the new update...and seeing as the update was released today I hope that it does.

I have a question though, how can I flash the BIOS using a CD or USB pen, because I have no floppy disk drive?

Thanks!

Thanks, but how do I do it?

Do I just use that HP tool, and then select in the BIOS for it to boot from the flash drive?

afaik the1.2 doesnt fix the double start, only 1.3 which is still only a beta. i am running 12 and still get double starts.

also you will still get double starts on 1.3 if you make a bios change or disconnect from the wall.

So there is not really a point in updating then. These double starts get on my nerves quite a lot...and to be honest they should have picked up on it before the even released the first version.

Beta bios 13 will fix the double boot issue on start up. But the double boot will always occur when changes are made to the bios. This is due to the intel chipset and not a bios issue, it also happens on the P965 series chips.

Thank you. Any idea when the BIOS will be publically released?
