Champions League Week 1 **Spoilers**

Right, time for the main event tonight!

Fergie has probably his hardest team selection yet, with only Hargreaves/Neville injured who would be considered starters.

I fancy Fergie to leave Saha out again and use him from the start Sunday. Giggs hasn't performed recently so he SHOULD be dropped, I'm hoping for:

VdS
Brown
Vidic
Ferdinand
Evra
Ronaldo
Carrick
Scholes
Nani
Tevez
Rooney

But I expect Giggs to play instead of Nani. With their being 7 subs allowed I can see Anderson getting some minutes.

Prediction: 0-2, The boy wonder to score on his return and Tevez to get his first United goal

United team:

-------------VDS-----------
Brown Ferdinand Vidic Evra
Ronaldo Carrick Scholes Nani
-----------Giggs------------
----------Rooney------------

Subs: Kuszczak, Pique, Evans, Anderson, Eagles, Saha , Tevez

Big sigh @ Giggs starting ahead of Tevez and Saha

I dunno, Tevez had his best game for us on Saturday, and he looked twice the player 2nd half when Saha came on against Sunderland. Rooney up top with Tevez lurking behind would have been my choice tonight.

Ah well, in Fergie we trust :p

He has gone a bit mad this season. Last season we had the advantage that the team pretty much picked itself, but with all these options Fergie seems intent on picking the worst ones. Giggsy's experience counts for a lot but not at the expense of performance.

How hasn't he picked Saha with Tevez behind. Rooney aint played for weeks, Saha's got to be closer to match fitter than him.

Seems like he's intent on getting Giggs in the team no matter the cost.

Fergie underestimating the opposition away from home in Europe yet again I fear.

If neither Saha or Tevez aren't fully fit then why not play one for 60mins and then replace them with the other.

imo man utd away in europe shows off SAF's two biggest problems as a manager.
playing players out of position and having too big an ego to abandon systems/ideas that clearly don't work
