Hi.

Has anyone compared these mobo's? I've read some reviews and noticed that they are either showing low FSB, whilst some showing amazingly high FSB with this mobo, whilst showing low DDR2 memory overclocking performance with this mobo, but some people seem to overclock great.

I'm wanting to sell my P5N-E SLi and get this mobo as I aint too happy with it.

Nothing I just dont get on with it and I dont think it likes my 2900xt.

The motherboard cant be faulty, but I think there must be compatability problems somewere since I am getting lower performance in most games than should be with a 2900 and I've got a heavily overclocked cpu and good ram too, I'm thinking it does not run properly with the ram I have, it aint in the supported list aswell.

You'll probably be able to get another 150-200MHz out of your CPU. I have no idea on the P5N-E SLi's compatibility with the 2900XT, but it works with almost everything else so you could just be suffering from driver issues if you have Vista.

You should be able to get £35-£50 for your P5N-E SLi after postage, so your cost to change will be fairly small.

You might as well do it, if only because that you're not happy, and there's no reason to be unsatisfied in this day and age.

by doing it I will loose about 3o quid, allthough can get 17 quid or so abck from selling bioshock, but if I bought Bgrade and got a DS3 I would only be loosing 3 quid.

The one I'm planning on getting is:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-086-GI

I could get and save 3 quid:

Are those in clearence with the box and everything?

The P965 DS3P is end of line, so there's a chance that it's the full retail board.

But if you're looking to upgrade from the P5N-E then you may as well spend the extra on the P35 board.
