Assassin's Creed Goes Gold for consoles. Delayed till 2008 for pc.

Yet another groundbreaking, earthshaking game title has gone gold this month. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Ubisoft Montreal's Assassin's Creed are now being manufactured and will hit stores on November 13, Ubisoft announced today. A $69.99 limited edition, said to pack a figurine and other goodies, will be available along with the standard $59.99 version. The PC version of the latest stealth adventure title from the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time team was originally scheduled to release alongside the console iterations, but was recently delayed until early 2008. Ubisoft said it would be delayed until 2008 a few weeks back when they announced their holiday lineup. I would have preferred the PC version too.

Don't we have enough games coming out now to keep us occupied til this comes out?

Was looking forward to it too, but at least when it comes out now it should break the dry spell which I am sure will loom beginning of next year.

wouldn't be surprised in the least if console dates slip a touch, and they are softening the blow by announcing pc delay, which makes people expect a console delay, so when that is announced people aren't so surprised. either way, 2008 could mean jan the 1st, which isn't much later.

I was going to get this for Xbox 360 anyway to be honest, Ubisoft make the most terrible ports.

Doesn't bother me anyway, it was gonna be a purchase on the 360 anyway, but it sucks to be a PC gamer not getting it.

there is some chance that it has been delayed to improve quality..not just churn out a sloppy console port like so many others...

on the other hand they might not

This is one game im looking forward to!

Im sure I can wait till 2008 for it, got Cod 4 and Crysis to look forward to atm!
