Is my Mobo killing me Grafix cards?

I just lost a Radeon 9800 pro which started glitching horribly on my ASUS P5 VDC MX after 3-4 months of trouble free operation.

I've ordered a new card but stuck in an old Nvidia Geforce 4 MX card and after a few days it has also started glitching.

Could my mobo be allergic to grafix cards? is its immune system too strong?

i had something similar with an old DFI board, destroyed my RAM aswell though, i think the problem with that was it wasn't distributing power correctly, kept overloading and destroying everything connected.

When you connected the nVidia card did it work fine at first and then gradually start to fail?

or did it begin to go fubar instantly.

Strange? are the cards broken or just not working in that one machine?

What is your PSU and how old is it?

What is the mobo and how old is it? (any leaking caps?)

well the cards worked fine at first. the radeon for about 5 months, the nvidia for a few days. then they started glitching.

the mobo is a ASUS P5 VDC MX and it is 5 months old as is the PSU which is a Deer Model DR 8500btx.

no leaks on the capacitors that i can see.

Havnt tried the cards on another machine though.

well the pc repair shop installed it as the other one was bust and fried my previous mobo.

now the radeon did use power from one of those 3 socket plugs but the nvidia did, so does that eliminate the PSU?

I've tried the cards in another PC and they are facked.
