I'm always seeing Amika in the London Lite, mainly because Prince Harry's always falling out of it.

I'd quite like to go to their NYE party - it's £50, they claim celebrities will be there. Anyone been before? Are drinks stupidly expensive? And do they take their over 21 policy seriously?

Just read their website, sounds like a pretentious "IT" person type hole to me. £1K minimum spend on a table booking... ouch. So in response to the OP, nope and probably never hehe.

Pint of Pride please landlord, pork scratchings if you've got them too. :)

That makes it totally worth £50 alone obviously!

:/

If that's what you are interested in spending your time doing then of course it is. Fact is, celebrities have a huge following through the media or people in the street. Who are you to judge if the OP wants to spend new years in the presence of celebrities?

Not my cup of tea personally but each to their own. Some of those places have minimum table restrictions but if you think how much drinks are and how many people you can fit around a table, it's not that unachieveable.

I'm not going for the celebrities :D

Just need somewhere to go on NYE and I've always wanted to go to Amika so thought it might be nice. It's either that or that illegal warehouse rave I posted about earlier :D

Amika, Cuckoo Club, Chinawhites, Embassy, Mahiki, 24, Paper... all very pretentious.
Unless you have money to burn or are getting free drinks all night (;)) then I'd rather go somewhere with a more fun vibe.

I'm off to a house party. :)

Somebody's tired

Not really, just thought your reply was pointless. You can't add anything to the thread so why reply with a sarcy comment?

Don't let minimum table limits put you off. If you can get 10 of you together that's only £100 each which isn't too bad being new years eve.

I was asked to Mahiki last weekend but it's not really my kind of place from what I understand. X List celebs galore :p
