I read this in either Focus or New Scientist (probably Focus) a couple of months ago...

this is why cheese and wine occurs, there is a particular chemical in the cheese - it's maybe even just the aroma of cheese that works to enhance flavours in wine ... i guess maybe beer too?

Bought a cheese selection from M&S to eat over the festive period: Brie, Stilton, Cornish Cheddar, Wensyldale & Cranberry and St. Paulin. Just had a few slices now with some cheese biscuits, had a drink and my tastebuds exploded. :D
 
well im sitting here drinking brandy and coke with a lovely sandwich of m:)ature cheddar, ham, tomato and pickle and it tastes great
