A question about makin' babies.

Crikey ive been on the pill 10 years now, that means mine should be mahooosive, :D but theyre not :( ;)

If your worried go to the doctors and get a blood test, should be able to tell that a/she isn't pregnant and b/the implant is working and releasing the hormones as it should.

I wouldn't worry overly. I've been using the implant for almost 3 years now (due to have it changed in a few months) and often get enormous hooters and other pregnancy symptoms round when my period is (or should be if you don't get them on it) due. In fact they're whopping right now as my boyfriend pointed out last night. I think it's due to cake retention rather than hormones in my case at present though.

OP,

You say she has symptoms of pregnancy. Remember that the method you are talking about messes with a person's hormones. Everybody reacts differently to this messing. Some people get little effect except the desired one of avoiding pregnancy.

Some get horrible physical and mental side effects and quite simply cant use the method.

It was clear.

Woo! Got the other one to do in a few weeks, but am 99% confident we're OK. Some of the symptoms have gone now, too.

My girlfriend currently has a lot of symptoms of being pregnant, but shes on the pill and had her period last week. We can only assume that its the pill thats sending her body mad, although she won't take a test.

How relieved do you feel, eh? :p

You're now called Jesmond?! Bah. Confusing.

I'm very relieved. Looking online for "early signs of pregnancy", she ticked off the list pretty well. Of course, we'll have to do another test in a few weeks to make sure, but as some of the signs have been there nearly 2 weeks I think we're OK.
