so i'm told this is designed by the Desert Combat battlefield guys ? the video footage looks good and the positives seem to outweigh the negatives, do i press buy to pre-order or wait .. hmmmm ???!?

I just had a quick go on the 360 demo, seems quite good after you get used to it. The screenshots posted above are much better than the 360 so definately a bonus

Reminds me a lot of BF2 but this has abit more variety to it, and the squad feature is a welcome back after playing Cod4 for so long

Will pick this up on Friday and give it ago,

I still have a spare key I never used, I downloaded the thing but never installed it, so if anyone wants, I've still got a Frontlines: Fuel of War Open Beta key.
 
I think the beta ended a week or so ago.

Still looking forward to this. Gonna wait on some views/reviews before I make any purchases though.

Any 1 playing this on a 4200 , 2Gb Ram and a 1900xt ? was wondering what performance I could expect ?

I was running the recent BETA on:

AMD X2 4200+
ATI X1950 PRO
4GB RAM - I doubt it used anything above 2 though.

Ran fine at 1680x1050.
 
Played it on 360 and well the player movement is poor. Feels very sluggish and not fluid like BF2 or COD4.

Not sure whether this will challenge the likes of BF2, CSS, COD4 etc. Just doesn't have the look or feel of quality. Just my opinion though.

@ 360 comments : its always going to be a poorer version on the console, in all factors from graphics to gameplay.. its no use trying to compare them or make a judgement call from a 360 demo

yep, ordered from ****.com @ £24 iirc, however its still showing as 'order placed' so i guess my funds haven't been debited yet.

I actually had the opposite reaction - I was reasonably impressed by the 360 version and saw this would be much better with keyboard/mouse and PC graphics etc.

Still not sure if I should order the collectors edition - haven't fully decided if I like it enough or not yet.
