Just arrived today and put them into my P5N-E and the system wont POST.

Put in 2x and the system will post and work fine.

First off, does anyone have any advice on what to do/check? According to various websites there shouldnt be an issue with 1066 ram and 4x1gb sticks.

Second problem is im trying to run the ram at 1066 - 4-4-4-12 and currently getting errors on test 8 of memtest. But if i run it at 1066 - 5-5-5-15 it works fine, again any suggestions?

Thanks

Ok, just upped the memory voltage to 2.3v and im not getting any errors at 1066 - 4-4-4-12.

Is 2.3v anything to worry about?

hmm well looks like its recomended at 2.2v so 2.3 is only slighgtly over. i take it it dont work at 2.2 at them settings ?

I got 1 error on test 8 at 2.2v with 1 or 2 sticks in.

Havent managed to get the system to boot with 4 sticks yet.

Ive got that RAM with my X38DS4 motherboard and, thankfully, it does boot with all 4 Sticks in, but lately Ive been getting a lot of BSODs with them.

They wont budge past 1068Mhz 5-5-5-15 @ 2.2v, and at 2.3V they still refuse to O/C anymore.

I suppose they run at their intended speed, just woulda beennice if they OC'd more lol... 4Mhz is pretty No Swearing!/ty lol

Well i've just managed to get the 4 sticks in and working.

Currently going through a memtest at 1066 - 5-5-5-15 at 2.2v.

Lets see how this works.

What did you do different that made them work? :)

I'm not too sure, but i think when i first tried the memory left the timings on auto.

This time i left everything on auto apart from 2 clocks. That allowed me to boot the memory underclocked and then i just upped it to 5-5-5-15 2T.
