Can anyone on here do a number plate check ?.

YH55 TRX

It's a nice 330cd on a certain auction site, looks like a scam tho..

Thks

Pls delete if not allowed..

34k miles mate and up for 9k..no feedback and received this email from them when I queried the price.

One to avoid methinks..

The car is available and I'm trying to sell it as low as I can to close this sale ASAP.
There is no outstanding finance (HPI cleared) and it has an accident free history. It comes with original invoice, log book, keys and all the documents to register it into your name.
I have to tell you that I'm currently out of town with some major business problems so pick up isn't an option. Sorry about that... Hope you will understand... But, you can still buy the car...
The selling price will be £9,000. For this price I will include free delivery of the car anywhere in the UK. You will also have access to a refund policy on this transaction.
However, before any delivery can be done we have to start the transaction on ebay so we can be both protected. In order to start the transaction on the eBay system I need to receive some details from you:
- your full name and address (for your invoice + delivery purposes)...
As soon as the above details will be provided I'll start the official transaction on eBay and they will notify you about this. You'll also receive important guidelines + instructions from them ( please go through them exactly ).
Let me know ASAP if you are interested to purchase my car.

Honestly you'd have thought these oxygen theives would have thought up something a little more original by now.

It's quite blatantly a scam - but the reg will check out becuase the car almost certainly exists, it just doesnt belong to the scammer.

Do not waste another second thinking about it.

Why does it state:

I confirm that the vehicle detailed above is registered, owned or insured by either my employer or myself and is regularly driven by me. I understand it is an offence to wrongfully obtain information of this nature without reasonable cause and if I fail to provide true reasons for acquiring information I may be committing an offence of unlawfully obtaining data contrary to section 55 of the Data Protection Act 1988. I declare that the information provided will not be used for any purposes unrelated to this enquiry. I agree to the terms of use as stated on this web site.

I don't see the harm in checking up on another plate - for example if you are involved in an accident with them. I doubt they actively chase all the people who submit requests...
