On my way home tonight this little dog ,spaniel I think decided to cross a busy main road to say hello to a dog on the other side the car in front hit the dog at about 30-40 mph ,the dog got up and continued with a slight limp to greet this dog then nearly got hit trying to get back to the other side !

The girl that hit it was near tears but I assured her the dog seemed fine and together we knocked on the door of the owner that seemed aware their unattended dog had been hit by a car !

They said we always let him out for a walk on his own but he never normally leaves the garden ,this house is right on a very busy 40 MPH main road where many cars do 60 MPH lucky for the dog a cop was ahead keeping the traffic speed down !

I suggested they don't let their dog out on its own again .......idiots

Don't understand people that can be so inconsiderate about a dog in that way. They're a part of the family (when in good homes).

Having said that, there's sure to be bad enough parents somewhere that would do the same with kids.

One the the families down our lane leaves there dog outside, it constantly walks the street day in day out, crosses the road, and this dog is deaf and has very bad eye site, the dog stays in the middle of the road sometimes and does not move, car come down our lane sometimes at 60MPH, we just cant believe the dogs still alive.

there a good fammily as well, very nice people, pretty wealthy, but annoyed me they think there dog can just walk the street's, someone should call the rspca tbh and just give them that little bit of acknowledge that it isnt rite to let the dog walk the streets

some people just seem to think that if they've done it once and nothing bad happened they can keep doing it. im not really a dog fan but if u have a pet you should at least look after it not be too lazy to give it the exercise it needs.
