Hi, I have had this setup for quite some time, and just checked the temps and they are at 42C on each core on idle. up to about 58 after 5 mins on orthos :/

Is that par for the course with the e6600 and an apogee? Seems a bit high but I do have 1.3625v running it at 3.48ghz.

What temps should I expect roughly? How tight can I screw the apogee on before it compromises the chip?

never mind. Sorted the problem out after reading the swiftech site.

Apparently it matters which way you install the inlet/outlet tubes! Switched them around and its now at 35C idle :D

53/54C at load.

Bearing in mind I do have the graphics card in parallel loop with it, so not bad I suppose :P

One other questions, would it be better to have the rad before or after the blocks? I have never really experimented and always had it after...

My chipset (P35) and [email protected] 1.375v with an apogee GT in a passive loop.

47-49c with room at 20c - cpu is not lapped

But your right about getting the block orintated in the right direction (Got that wrong myself) if just the apogee, and a mid range card it sounds about right.

the logo should be up the right way.
Inlet at top, outlet at bottom

so if you like dismantalling your blocks make sure they go back together correctly :D
