Amy Winehouse @ Glastonbury on BBC now

If some of the holier-than-thou brigade had seen Frusciante in some of his worse throes, you'd think Amy Winehouse's performance was that of cherubim and seraphim.

Yeah, John was in a terrible state.

Everyone should watch this, and then look at him recently. There's always a way back to normality.

lol, you just have to listen to Niandra Lades to know he was one messed-up cookie! My smile is a rifle, anyone? If there was ever a reason not to do heroin, it's the anguish in that album.

"The Grammy-winning singer was on fine form and in good voice for most of the set"

What??? she was all over the shop!

Also people, bare in mind that taking drugs does not automatically mean you're a bad person, just that you made a bad choice. Some nasty things being said on here, but I guess faceless comments should be taken with a pinch of salt; we all know how tough and mean people on these boards try to be!

Lets try it then -

You should have listened to Elvis instead - he was such a lovely clean living lad

Yeah that works.

I prefer this one

Verve were just playing. Anyone know what the metal tubes on their little fingers were for?

Isnt it to get some sort of different effect/sound from the guitar.

The Verve were good, glad they reformed, Groove Armada were also good, was flicking between the two.

No it doesn't mean that. Choosing to take drugs isn't a bad choice, letting them run your life is a bad result of a perfectly reasonable choice.

You're all going on about Amy Winehouses singing but did you hear that dude singing with Mark Ronson?
I don't think he hit one note in tune.

OMG the BBC main page says, and I quote;

Back on track? Amy Winehouse rocks Glastonbury 2008

The BBC seem to be incapable of criticising her at all - they continue with this charade that she played a good set and that nothing was wrong. No matter how much I like the BBC I do despair of them sometimes.
