Currently got a Ford Fiesta 1800 Turbo (Diesel), unfortunately it's going to become my twin brothers when he passes his test hopefully soon.

I'm looking to get Corsa (preferably black) because I like how they drive. I'm looking for a 1.2 as I need something that'll get up and go if I ask it too. I just wondered whether you lot had any ideas where I'd be able to find such a car excluding autotrader ;).

Cheers.

You've obviously not got much experience driving decent cars, because Corsas don't drive too well, and a 1.2 doesn't have any 'get up and go'. The only Corsas I've driven were a 1.4 and a 1.3 CDTi and both were awful.

Thank you all for insulting me directly or indirectly with your posts. I've only just passed myself, so a 1.2 is the only thing that can be affordable when it comes to insurance.

Calm it down dude, its well known that Corsa's are hated around here.

To be honest, anywhere like autotrader, pistonheads etc should find what your after.

Unfortunately, it's all you can expect from OcUK when you mention a Vauxhall. It's clear there are better cars but to get more sense out of the situation you'd be better off trying another forum and test driving a few other superminis to see what else you fancy.

Have you considered the equivalent fiesta? generally considered an all round better car than the corsa.

What sort of budget do you have in mind?

Nobody is taking the mick or insulting you becuase you cannot afford to insure anything else - it's clear that a small hatchback is the right car for you and I dont think anyone has an issue with that.

But when you say things like a Corsa drives nicely or that you need something with 'get up and go' so wish to buy a 1.2, it's obviously going to raise a few eyebrows.

The Corsa does not drive well, it's a particularly poor car and the 1.2 litre engine has no 'get up and go'. You would be considerably better seeking out an alternative car - probably the best choice would be something like a Fiesta with the 1.25 Zetec engine.
