gastritis, just what the bloody hell can i eat ? :(

OP, once you get a GP sorted its highly likely that you will be put on Lansoprazole. I had similar symptoms but not as severe and was put on Lanso and was recently told I'll probably be on them the rest of my life :(
They definately will allow you to vary your diet but not by too much.I'm very much afraid that you are looking at a lifetime of digestive misery...........like me :(

they have put me on omeprazole, but i cant do this for the rest of my days, Im just not capable. Its made me so miserable too :(

Think yourself lucky mate, in 2006 i was diagnosed with suspected e coli and had to spend four days in hospital on a nil by mouth diet.
That was the hardest thing i've ever endured watching other patients eat roast potatoes and chicken while lying there watching and drooling.

been there done that too... 2002, mcdonalds burger, 3 days in hospital.

are you being treated for it?

don't know much about it tbh, if you're on medication (and it's curable -again, i don't know), just eat whatever the doc tells you to get over it asap.

hope you get better soon

My dad has this too, he had to cut out all fried food and veg, well green veg.

He can have things like, bread [brown] fish, beans, toast, crisps, soup, chips, vegie burgers, beer/lager, onions, carrots, scambled egg, poached egg and dark chocolate to name a few.

So its not all bad... the only thing he misses which he loved is bacon...

Hope that helps a little.

Beans on toast for breakfast.

Fish and Chips for dinner

A larger at night...

I'm pretty sure I could do that for the rest of my life :p
