Perhaps ironically I didn't have any particular problems with either of them, their inane prattling was much easier to tune out than Moyles is. Ok so I didn't care about their kids or pets but they were still less annoying than him and appeared to have a bit less of an ego.
 
Not really, he can be pretty funny some times... but others he comes across as an arse.

He has good moments and bad ones I think.

Scott Mills on the other hand, pure comedy gold :D
 
I like him and think he can be very funny, though can be a rude, arrogant **** to listeners he talks to or about now and again. Rest of his crew are just not funny apart from the news reader bloke. Absolutely despise jo whiley, stupid hippy. Also, I think vernon kay is currently showing just how rubbish edith bowman is.
 
Im indifferent to be honest, occasionally ill listen to the radio on the hour long trip from/to work, but i prefer my own music. Cant say i turn it over when i hear him tho.

one thing that makes me instantly turn over is when they do that stupid bloody thing in the morning where they connect to thing stupidly. its just not funny, goes on for ages and bugs the hell out of me.
 
There's not a great deal to his show, a lot of boring chat with long pauses where they think of something to say filled with tacky jingles and sound effects.

The team are pretty poor also - comedy Dave is the best of a bad bunch, Dom is so dull it's untrue (would never have guessed he was a newsreader), Aled is the token camp guy everyone has.

He's just a chat jockey with jingles, Mills is far more inventive whereas Moyles seems to be living off the good times a few years ago and is complacent. Mills has waited a long time and he definitely feels like the new breed, whereas Moyles feels on his way out.

Normally listen to something else until Jo Whiley comes on then catch the end of Mills and start of Zane Lowe who is superb.
 
I only listen to him on the way into work and i do think its funny and certainly puts me in a good mood for work! Though he has no doubt got a massive ego, he does have one of the most listened to radio shows so you can't really blame him. I also think his voice (and the others on the show) is far more interesting than other radio stations which just seem to put me to sleep!
 
He can be funny and he can be an **** so he isn't really like marmite.

Did anyone ever listen to the Ricky Gervais show on XFM? I thought that was quality. It was essentially just three men talking with a microphone in the area but it was hilarious.

Dave isn't funny in the slightest. Name prefix does not deliver.

I think a certain section of his audience are 'default' listeners - in my area when you switch the radio on you either have (for pop style) Radio 1 or Invicta FM. So if I want to listen to the radio it's either Moyles or endless local adverts about Jewsons or something. It's a difficult choice but Moyles just about wins.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has him on just because he's there for background noise. The amount of dedicated listeners/fans is not the total amount who listen.

i was forced to listen to the fat **** moyles at my last job and i ******** hate the **********.

(can you guess i don't like him much. :p)
 
Personally I cannot compare Moyles to Marmite.
This is because I love Marmite on toast and will also eat it on bread if there is no toast available.
Moyles on the other hand - I'm afraid I cannot stand the guy.
 
I quite like Moyles and Mills for the commute, the moyles show is rather sparse now with too many pauses. The afternoon show he used to do was better when he had rants at people on the air. £640 k salary too! One person i cannot stand is that chappers idiot, his voice goes through me.
 
I use to love his shows and would tape them so I could listen when I got out of bed ,but now he has really gone down hill ,not often funny anymore ,can be annoying and rather boring .
I use to hate it when he was on Holiday but now its a better show when he is away . Prefer scott mills now .
Glad I'm not the only one to notice .
