You haven't even tried to give a sensible choice of car. His mum is currently looking for:-
A car under 30k miles
A car under 2 years old
A car with a bit more oomph than a 1.1 206, such as a 1.6
A car which doesn't cost a lot to run (probably)
The car you suggested:-
Has 126,000 miles - X
Is 7 years old - X
Has 225hp from a 1.8t - X
Will cost lots to run - X
GRADE = F (for FAIL)
I swear, the only suggestion that could be worse is if someone suggested buying a Dacia Sandero.

My mums got an 08 1.2 Auto in 'faded denim' , dream car tbh.. great handling.. zippy.. ok.... sorry
horrible car for the money but women seem to like it (to drive lol)

I've just got my Mum a Focus Titanium 1.6 Ti-VCT 115 and she's thrilled with it.
Try and get the 1.6 115 rather than the standard 100, it is both more economical and the tax band is lower. They don't seem to cost much, if anything, more than the 100 so it's a no brainer really.
She paid £8500 for a Jan 08 57 Plate with 9k on the clock in Sea Gray with privacy glass.
