Hey Guys,

I just signed up to a console freebie site to get a free PS3 with three games of my choice.

Does anyone on these forums do such things. I don't know if it's against forum rules to post my referral link. I just need 17 referrals which i am willing to pay you guys £5 each for. (17x5=£85 for a £420 PS3 bundle) Sweet!!!

I don't see why this isn't allowed as overclockers don't sell PS3's. and it gives a chance for you guys to get a free PS3 as well.

May i post the link or if someone sends me a private message can i post the link?

Another classic.

Do these things really work? I doubt it very much, normally if its too good to be true it normally is.

They are mostly a load of rubbish I think.

My mate signed up for one for a phone for £20, the site died after a while.

The idea is you buy a CD with some free software / rubbish on it, and supposedly get a phone after 20 other people spend £20. They get £400 for each phone they send, but after a while it dies down and loads of people don't get anything.

So they might send a couple out if they feel like it, but probably have some clause where the freebies are down to availability, leaving you with just a load of rubbish.

The only ever free mineral object I've had online without having to pay a penny was 2 tesco simcards.

Go me.

no really this one is completely true i can promise you that

I have been reading tons lately, i have even registered to a trading board and started advertising my link. I just really want this PS3 real quickly which is why i plan on paying £5 to everyone that signs up and completes an offer for me.

This is how your free gift is paid for:

The phenomenon of referral marketing has recently swept the U.S. by storm, allowing customers to receive highly sought after free gifts, through what is essentially an advertising website (known as a referrals website). Customers are required to encourage others to sign up to the referrals site in order to receive their free item, thus promoting the website and generating advertising revenue. The system is relatively new to UK shores, but already it is starting to have a similar impact here, with a steady influx of new UK referrals sites offering everything from Ipods to laptops.

Referrals websites are affiliated with a number of sponsor sites (Lovefim DVD rental, for example). Each of the sponsor sites advertise offers on the referral site, and a credit is received in return for completing one of these offers. Upon registering with the referrals website customers are required to complete one of these sponsored offers in order to activate their account. Customers are then required to refer a number of other people to the site; those who sign up are termed 'referrals'. Referrals who go on to complete a sponsored offer gain the original customer a credit and once the customer has gained enough credits in this way, they are sent their free item.

Lovefilm Free TrialThe key to the referrals system is that the referral website is paid by the sponsor for every customer who clicks on and signs up for a trial offer with that sponsor. So if someone signs up for a Lovefilm free trial through a PS3 freebie site, That site will receive X amount of money from Lovefilm in the form of a commission. When this person then goes on to refer 13 other people to the freebie site (and if each of the 13 people sign up for a free Lovefilm trial), then the freebie site will receive payment from their affiliate sponsor for each of these 13 people, plus the original referrer. The result is that the referrals website receives sufficient funding to send the customer their free gift and to operate the referral site.

This system is a very clever and cost effective way of making money by directing traffic towards sponsors, with the direct benefit that the customer receives a share of their advertising revenue in the form of a free gift.

I removed the name of the freebie site from the above article taken from a site. I replaced it by using just the words 'that freebie site'. I don't want to be banned for doing something wrong.

Now most people are not going to sign up and complete an offer for me. They want some incentive which is why i am offering to give £5 for each referral. Now the quickest method is you don't need to sign up to lovefilm. Instead on the offers page of my link, you can sign up to coral bingo and use the £5 that i will send you from paypal. The bingo site is instant you can deposit £5 and play if you lose it doesn't matter, it's my my money your losing but if you win you could make a small profit. Anyway you think about it you can claim your free PS3. Then you can pay someone £5 for them to sign up for you and it continues on and on.

You can get just 10 referrals for a PS3 alone

It's 13 referrals for a PS3 with any 2 games

It's 14 referrals for a PS3 with any 3 games

It's 17 for me as i have chosen not to sign up for an offer. Instead I am trying to get 17 referrals. But i only need 14. My first three will be exchanged in lieu of a gift credit then from there i just need 14 referrals to get my free gift, the sooner people except it, sign up and complete an offer like the coral bingo or a lovefilm free trial cancelling before the end of the trial after renting out some films free of charge. Then the sooner i will get my PS3.

It's awesome and truly works.

EDIT: it's even been featured on the BBC, do a google search

Why won't i get a PS3. This can't be BS as it was featured on the BBC news they were praising how good it was. If this is not breaking forum rules then this site tells you more about it, exceem.co.uk there not a freebie site but just explain about all the networks and help you get your free PS3.

I already have a PS3, which I paid for using real money, not some website that will break its promise.

They will only give away a PS3 if they generate more money then it costs. If they are free and no money is exchanged, then the company is operating at a huge loss and wouldn't continue to run.

No advertising that the site does would ever cover the cost of free PS3's.

Silly place to ask really, considering you have no contact info and PMs are disabled, you won't be allowed to post it here.

I'll tell you what, you give me the £85, add another hundred notes and you can have my PS3. :D

As much as i distrust such sites. From looking through the forums, it seems that some members have got a hell of a lot of stuff from them.
