Worth Upgrading my 8800GTX?

I'm thinking of selling my watercooled BFG 8800GTX (factory fitted DD Block), mainly because I want to get the graphic card out of the loop and just watercool the CPU and NB to keep the temps down (cheaper and than upgtading the water setup) Reckon I can get maybe £130 for GPU. Play mainly World in Conflict, C&C, Supreme Commander, would like to try Crysis next (yes I must be the only one never to have played it). ATM only World in Conflict is badly crippled at 1900x1200 with everything on. Recokn I could spend maybe another £150-£200. So which one to get for my games and resolution -1x4870, 2x4850, a 280GTX or a 4870X2. Or may be the performance jump wont be great enough and I should hold out for the next lot of GPU releases.

I'd probably go with the 4870X2 - my brothers 4870 has quite a good performance increase over my 8800GTX so I'm guessing a 4870x2 is quite a bit better.

4870x2 if you want the biggest increase.
