8800GTS 640mb to a 4850 woes..!!

Do to Device Manager, right-click on the graphics card as it is displayed there, and click "Uninstall". See if that does the trick.

PCI-E looks the problem, GPU-Z is saying you have a 16x slot, but its only running at 2x, which is odd, as the Primary slot runs at 16x, the Secondary runs 4x on P35 boards, so god knows how its only running at 2x.

Instead of messing around so much i'd do a format and OS reload esp as going from Nvidia to ATI...to much crap in the registry if u've used it for a while...fixed my issues when I went from an 1900xtx to a 4850...:o

I dont mean to steal the thread but I didnt want to have to create a thead for what I wanna ask.

Here is a pic of my 8800GT in GPU-Z:

It shows as "Bus interface: PCI-E 2.0 x16 @ x16". Does this mean my PCI-E x16 lane is version 2.0? I didn't think the P5K-E wifi had this updated version? I cant find any info on it in my manual or on google :s

Yep, it does.

I have the Neo2-FR as well, and my 4850 shows up as x16 not x2 in GPU-Z.

I advise to check your bios settings. Do you know what version of the bios you are running?
