Do you feel like "an adult" ?

What I mean is when we were kids I remember looking at older people and seeing "old people what were adults". Do you see yourself as an adult?

I have always been rubbish at judging peoples ages, but I was just looking around the office and I realised there is a guy who is in his early 40's. To me he doesn't look it but I realise my perspective changes with time. I also dress the same as I have done since I was around 17 (t-shirt + cargo trousers).

I am 27 and still act/feel like a teenager.

Yeah last year or so definitely, taken on more responsibility at work so no longer a 'junior' member, been financially independent for quite a few years now, have lived and worked in London for 5 years exactly on 1 Jan 2009, has pretty much sunk in now that this is 'adult' life as opposed to 'post-University' life :p Quite like it though :)

(26 yrs old btw)

I would say I am grown up, I have a good job a good career a good life and set plans for the future.

But then I also have my toys and stuff which are fun :)

26 and i feel old already and that i should have done things better , school etc.

I'm 33 and the only time I've felt like and adult was from about 16 to 18 when i thought i was really mature and grown up. Turns out I'm not either!

I still watch Spongebob Squarepants, play videogames, think farts are funny and pick my nose when no one else is watching.

I'm 26, married and about to be a father in 4 months.

Sure we get older, but we don't have to grow up.

Definitely not! Ok I have commitments now, mortgage, car, job etc but I still feel about 10 years younger than I am. Doesn't help that most of the people my age that I know are parents though, I guess that makes you age a bit.

Not far off 20, does that count? :p

I've always felt older, probably because I've been independent and not relying on anyone since around 15. Always had a lot of worries etc though.

I feel young (and act it)

However...

i did a year out in uni and the people i am now with in lectures seem very immature and i dont remember being like that :p

I view people in their late 20s, who behave like teenagers (incl. dress sense, jokes, social behaviour, and lack of concern about their career and personal/career development) with a lot of pity and scorn. Such people are the epitomy of incompetence and lack of depth in a human being and I actively try to avoid such people in my social circle.
