Agreed

[TW]Fox;12804875 said:Except its not, really, is it? It's not a poorly built car by any stretch of the imagination but neither is it anything special. As always VW are trading on past reputation. They used to build cars with high levels of perceived quality, the Mk4 Golf especially had this as its party trick but these days its not the case.
I`d disagree, but again its a moot point, I`d say the quality DOES look better on a Golf, not stunningly so but my perception is that it does look slightly more robust and better put together, but for sure this is perception probably.

cheers

[TW]Fox;12804875 said:They are not really that much more expensive than the Golf and for the premium over a used Focus you actually DO get a better quality interior, bigger choice of engines and, if it matters to you, a 'better badge'. Audi *is* a prestige badge, VW is not, irrespective of the shared ownership.
maybe

neither am I lol BUT my judgement is skewed by my dislike of the Mondeo's aesthetics
