I should be able to figure this out for myself but I need to get it right or face being stranded in the big bad city  Basically, I'm getting a train from Newcastle to Kings Cross and need to get to the Premier Inn on Bath Road near Heathrow Airport for a flight the following morning.

What's the best way to do it? I'll need to make a return journey a few days later, I'm assuming I just do the reverse.

Get on Piccadilly line at Kings Cross, get off at Heathrow :p

I'll let you work out the reverse journey :D

*edit*

More seriously - you might want to get off at Hounslow West (couple of stops before LHR) and get a cab from there, should be less traffic than coming out of Heathrow Airport :)

Best way? Tube to Paddington-> Heathrow Express to LHR. However it would be significantly more expensive than the other way.

Perfect, thank you! :) The underground map and the information I found were a little confusing, I couldn't tell if the Piccadilly line ran from Kings Cross or St Pancras - or if the 2 stations were one and the same. I need to get everything planned before we leave (in Feb) so it all runs reasonably smoothly and - more importantly - we don't get lost :o

And also circle line to paddington -> kings cross takes 20 mins anyway, so once you factor in changing trains and the increased cost i'm not sure it's worth it.

They're two seperate mainline stations but a single underground station (just to confuse you even more :D).

And yeah, Daz is right about the changing/waiting times needing to be factored in :)
