Could someone translate this email for me, i have tried google translate and babel fish but they dont make much sense.

Viglen Dossier appears to be a brand of laptop. Lufter is a fan.

So, I have a Viglen Dossier NS 1Ghz. Problem: it doesn't turn on. The power LED blinks, fan runs, and half starts (I think). What could it be?

Won't switch on, power LCD blinks, fan is running at half speed/half rotations

I thought it was that except, 'Power LED blinks, fan turns halfway [and then stops, presumably]'

In that case could somebody please translate the following into passable german, there's free cake in it! (collection from N. London only)

It is likely that this issue is caused by dry solder joints on the BIOS chip, as the laptop is almost certainly out of warranty due to the age of the model. I would recommend that you take the laptop into electronic service centre and they will be able to resolder the contacts on the motherboard.

Dieses Problem ist wahrscheinlich durch trockene Lötstelle auf dem BIOS-Chip verursacht. Da der Laptop wegen seines Alters höchstwahrscheinlich nicht mehr gewährleistet ist, würde ich Ihnen empfehlen, der Laptop in ein Elektronikdienstleistungszentrum zu bringen, wo die Kontakte auf dem Motherboard wiedergelötet werden können.
