As 2008 nears to a close..

High:
  • Passing my driving test
  • Having a great time gaining more driving experience
Low:
  • Having to put up with a corsa :(
 
Highs:
  • Buying my Aprilia RSV1000 Factory
  • Communiting almost exclusively by motorcycle
Low:
  • Losing the sight in my left eye (possibly permenantly) meaning I can't ride said RSV1000 Factory.
 
High:
  • Buying an MX-5 on the cheap.
  • Having fun in the MX-5 - only had it 10 days.

Low:
  • 3 points for speeding.
  • Not having very many sunny days for top down fun.
 
Highs:

Getting my car lowered
Getting some expensive rubber

Lows:

None...well maybe my coil going but that was under warranty anyway!
 
Highs - buying a new Mini Cooper S. Then taking it down to France for a long weekend after getting it.

Lows - Selling my first car :(

Lots to look forward to in 2009, booked to go on a skid pan and also a trackday. :D
 
Highs:

Getting rid of my 2nd problematic ATR
Finally buying a reliable car (Civic 1.8 VTi)
Getting it lowered + new 16" wheels
Getting hold of the ultra rare VTIS kit

Lows:

Someone doing a hit and run on my front bumper
Not enough sunny days to go out for a long drive
Realising I have no more money left to mod the car

Highs:

Trackday at Donington in Feb
Nurburgring Trip in May
Getting a MR2 as track car
Getting one of my 'attainable dream cars', my S2000.....


Lows:

...then finding out the day I picked it up I will have to sell it around May time.
Wrestling with Renault to get a gearbox replaced under warranty
Spinning off at Bedford in the MR2 right infront of the pits/everyone watching!
 
High - buying my first house

Low - selling my beloved Charade GTxx money pit due to buying house

Not meaning to sound ignorant but does losing sight in one eye mean you have to surrender your license on medical terms?

No it doesnt, or shouldnt my dad can only see in one eye and drives still. (well I presume its ok to drive :D )
 
Highs:

* Track day in a Caterham 7 and half a day in a lotus Elise 111S
* Go karting in the wet on Friday - mainly sideways action!
* Test drove my next car after much deliberation and fell in love
* Cheap motoring year, no massive bills *touch wood*
* Getting a full bodykit for a car I don't own yet as a bonus from my boss

Low:

* Still living with a 1.6 Golf
* Waiting till I am 21 to drive next car......
 
Highs:

* Driving a Z4 3.0
* Driving to & from Cebit
* Autobahns on way to and back from Cebit

Lows:

* Not Buying the Z4
* Not Driving my 320i to Cebit due to me messing up paperwork so took mates ST170
 
Highs :

-Riding an RSV1000
-Driving a a friends Subaru Impreza STI

Lows:

-Having to get rid of the RS125
-Aqua plane-ing on the M54 doing a 180spin and ending up on the hard shoulder facing the wrong way. (no damage to car)
-Having my Fiesta written off by a bin truck, whilst it was parked on the drive
-Corsa blowing a head gasket on the M5.
