I train (as do many here) extremely hard and have absolutely no problems with growing and strength. I also know that you ought to be sensible when training and for the most part I am that as well.

However I tend to let my training and ego get the better of me by trying to do more despite having reached or gone beyond my limit. The question I want to ask is whether there are any effective, heavy duty weight training supports for elbows-as I have twice damaged them in the spate of 5 months during training. It's stupid, I know but my first injury put me out of the gym for four months and the last injury for 10 days (sigh). I am now ready to get back in to my training and no longer wish to injure myself again.

so you've managed 20 days training in the last 5 months? i'd see a physio and adjust your routine a lot.

I managed twenty years before that ;) Back to full health so wouldn't need a physio. The routine is fine it's those angled chinning bars and my refusal to "give in" on them after the last rep that was the problem :D

answered ya own question then.

Dont do the exercises that are causing issues and that will minimize injury ;)
Yeah I know. Its a combination of the way the bar isolates the back shoulders and the elbows on both the positive and negative along with too much stubboness. less stress on the elbows using a purely horizontal bar though. ;)
