I disagree.

She is making money for her family whilst keeping cancer in the public eye. I see this as a service to cancer awareness. The more people can be educated on cancer the better.
 
I can't believe people find it disgracful that she's milking every penny out of it, why the hell wouldn't she, wouldn't you want a better life for your kids, i say good on her tbh.

Spending time doing newspaper interviews when she could be spending time with her family tbh! That would be more beneficial imo.
 
the news paper interviews wouldnt really be taking that much time. small loss for a big reward.
i'm quite sure she isnt so stupid to be not spending as much time as is sensible while completing the task at hand.

If she leaves it all to her husband, then pretty much no effect. If she leaves it to her kids, then there'll be plenty of inheritance tax. If she puts it into trusts (as her tax advisers will probably be telling her to) then things get messy as all hell.

How can you say she isnt making a difference with lives from dying with cancer. This hasnt been years and years of cancer suffering, its been rather quick. She is making a difference for those who care about her and who she cares about.

Maybe the tv coverage etc might be an eye opener for many people, who are either suffering with / have a close relation who are suffering or maybe some who are ignorant of the whole issue.

I had no time for her at all but why kick a person when she's down?

If you hate her you wont have to worry about for much longer will you?
 
My issue with "Jane" Goody is that yes she is making money for her family so they can have a nice bright future even though she won't be here, fine, that's great. What about all of the thousands of people that get cancer and die from it every day? They don't all get magazine deals and wedding dresses worth thousands donated to them from Harrods. I'm very sorry she has cancer and will die, but really anybody would think she's the first person on earth to.

Also I read today that her two sons will each get a £750,000 magazine deal when they turn 18. They're only 4 and 5. So the interview will be in 13 and 14 years. Really who's going to give a damn by then?

Sorry to sound unsympathetic, I just think its pretty unjustifiable

They arent "famous", thats life. She is, so she is milking it, fair enough. She has never said she is more deserving but as luck would have it some people seem to be more interested and pay accordingly.

Society has created this monster by being so obsessed with celebrities. We've collectively obsessed over how she lives, so why would you expect that we wouldn't collectively obsess over how she dies?
 
what about those thousands that are suffering in silence?
do you not think that JG is bringing cancer to the publics attention again, getting people thinking again. Raising awareness and potentially raising money for the charities.
Is that a bad thing?
 
Certainly is not a bad thing. She had a fairly crap deal out of life with unfortunate family and mocked by the popular press.

She is currently making the best out of a poor situation, a positive action, where many may not. If she wants her kids to have a better life then her then that is to be encouraged.

This is all about class. Yeah, well all made fun of the thick girl, easy target. When the thick girl is dying is it so cool to make fun of her?

You dont have to like her, you dont have to buy the papers or mags or watch the tv shows. Just accept it and if you dont like it, be content in the knowledge that by living you have won.
 
Some pretty harsh comments on here, the poor woman is dying and all she is trying to do is secure the best future for her kids before she goes.

She is in the pubic eye for whatever reason, she is cashing in on her situation, why shouldn't she.

I know I would if I found myself in her situation.
