Currently 1-0 Boro. Downing, free kick after 5 minutes.

Lots and lots of empty seats tonight... Boro are really losing a lot of support especially with the latest noise complaint.

As I was typing.... 2-0 Tuncay 19 minutes. :p

haha. 2 - 0 jesus. we've hit a goldmine. shame its highly likely we'll go 5 games without 1 thanks to this 'miracle'.

on the other hand GO BORO!

i was gunna go to the match but i wouldn't have made much of a difference to that crowd. just another guy sat in a sea of red seats looking like a loner.

You're not interested?! You're not a fan!

:D

I think whole club is a joke at the moment. No players are putting their heart into it. Alves is a useless plonker who can't score. Southgate couldn't manage a ****up in a brewery. And now the club has asked the loudest block in the stadium to be quiet during games as they make too much noise... Away fans aren't going to be quiet, they are going to get behind their team and the Boro fans can't do anything about it!

I'm sorry but if you want support and a good atmosphere at games and fans to get behind the team, noise is what is required.

I really want Boro to be relegated, re-organise the backroom staff with new management and get a whole new fresh approach. In the Championship we'd actually win some games too.

Boro are playing awesome here btw.

What a ball by O'Neil that was.

Sad to say it but i totally agree

Boro actually won!!!!

And on TV too. I think the last time we won on TV was possibly a UEFA Cup semi final. Please correct me if I'm wrong :p

Great all round performance, really went back to basics thats how we need to play against the bigger teams and away from home.

Hopefully we can find some league form and go on a run, cause we are easily good enough to stay in this league.

I could watch Downing's free kick a million times and not get tired of it....why people say that he's carp is beyond me...

didn't it take a small but significant deflection, also, hasn't he taken 50 freekicks this year without coming close. Anyone can have a good game, its the fact he's looked a joke in his past 10 that make people think he's crap. SWP had 3 great games where he looked world class to start the season, since then he's looked a joke as a winger and infront of goal. Downing is crap, people see his one brilliant game and just hope/presume he can replicate that performance on demand but he's shown time and time again its a fluke and nothing more.

Was a bit of a boring game, mostly Boro won as West Ham never got into gear and had zero width. I understand Zola needed to test Kovac, who looked utter crap, and Sears needed a test and proved he'll never come close to premiership quality, he ignored a dozen throughballs, one to Parker which was stupidly easy and put him completely past your defence. He's a joke, Noble is not a left winger, Behrami need's blonde hair to be good(apparently) and had his first poor game for West Ham, Neill appeared to be wearing cloggs but played pretty well and Tomkins was utter crap aswell.

Pretty much West Ham didn't play 3 of their best players this year in Collison, Collins and Di Michelle and the game was long gone by the time they came on.

Whats weird is Boro are in serious trouble in the league and West Ham seem to be completely safe but no real chance of doing significantly better, so really had nothing but the cup this year. Was odd to see Boro at full strength and West Ham rest key players.

Don't worry, Boro did rest their best player in Alves! :p He'll be unleashed at the weekend. Adam Johnson will probably be starting as he only got a few minutes last night. We needed to field a good team to win the thing to pick up confidence... the worst thing that could happen to us at the moment is get knocked out of a cup which will absolutley cripple the morale at the club. Thankfully we won and that confidence can be taken to the weekend.

Ohh and Di Michelle played, he had a pretty good game I thought.
