Hey

Had the aerial on my 2005 Civic Sport stolen within the last 24 hours, only noticed this evening... I've had my moan and am over it, hope the scrote rots in hell or OD's on skittles.

Anyway I'm sourcing a replacement - £25 from Honda themselves but gonna try some scrappies tomorrow... just wondering, is there any way of preventing a repeat performance?

My brother has mention if I do 'stick' it in place, it might make the perpetrator try harder and potentially damage the roof or car to a larger degree than just an annoyance

Any thoughts?

Just put a new one on. They probably won't steal it again.

Agreed, if it happens again then its an issue. £25 sounds a bit on the steep side though

EDIT- I seem to recall aftermarket ones that just spin unless you use a specific tool or put a grub screw in... or is that valve caps... or did I just imagine it? :o

Only threee options really

1) Replace it with the OEM one and put up with the fact that someone could steal it again
2) Replace it with a telescopic aerial powered by the headunit.
3) Replace it with a coathanger

If you secure a normal one in anyway, you're just going to get more damage done to your car if anyone tries again.

say that to someone with a fiesta St.

£50 for a set of new wheel center caps only to have them stolen a few weeks later.

Ive had mine stolen this week and wondering if its worth getting new ones :(
