the famouse grouse

Currently i have Glenfiddich, Glenmorangie & Tullibardine single malts, IMO you cant talk about single malts in the same conversation as blends.

Ihoewver do admit grouse is one of the better blends i have tasted, I only drink my single malts on rare occasions and blends ona regular basis,

I bought a littre of bells as it was on offer and its bloody awfull.

Everyone laughs at me because im 22 and drink single malts, but then again i dont go out everyweek end and pull some random n wake up in the gutter, im more refined
 
Got to say its the best of the blended stuff I've tried. Went to the grouse experience in Scotland a few years ago as well.

Speaking as someone who has virtually no experience of different types of whisky, since I rarely drink, just how different are the main types you are talking about? Are they noticeably different flavours? Levels of throat burn etc? When I did drink a bit back in my uni days I must have had different types of whisky now and again but to be honest it all tasted the same to me. For example wouldn't be able to tell a single malt from a blend, nevermind the difference between specific distilleries. How can you describe the difference?
 
what you mean only 2 bottles left? how much of the stuff do you drink?


the above looks like a nice single malt. whats the price on that?

once you get a taste of whiskey, you can differentiate between them .

some are woody, fruity, smoky etc etc.

appreciation changes the way you drink.

I usually have at least four or five bottle's in the cupboard, I like to keep stocked up ;)

I dont actually drink it all that often, unless my brother in law visits and leads me astray, last time was new year, he stayed over and we finished a large bottle between us :)

The 12 year old I've got tonight comes it at around £27.00 per bottle :)

If I may add to this you'll usually find most of the Island Whisky's are very peaty, definitely not to my taste but then it is up to the individual :)

grouse is extremely woody, i love that,, its my regular buy.

as i said above, im extremely fortunate to love a cheap blended whisky.

Jamesons is very nice and i like bells too.


my treats are glen morangie and fiddich .
