havnt played any demos or anything yet so im kind of just hoping i like it.
also, its off topic slightly, but whats the most recent ace combat for pc called? or are there any other good pc flight games like it? - i cant find any tbh, they are all for consoles!

This was supposed to be released by now although I believe there has been a problem with a deal falling through somewhere along the way.
I'm quite sure it will still be out although I'm not sure when. It does look pretty good though. 
Its a strangly addictive game but only once let go of the "it'l be cool to fly a F-22" because they all fly in a similar way. You start off with 3rd generation planes made in the 50s etc and unlock more as you go. But by the time you reach a F-15 you dont really notice a massive diffrerence (which is crazy).
I played it for 2 hours solid and didnt even realise. It goes from being very easy (drop some bombs on factories) to fustrating in seconds (mulitiple targets from all directions). It very very lightweight stuff. Worth a go but get it in the bargin basement. DONT pay full price.

as stated above, very arcadey.
I was realy realy stoked when I unlocked the A-10!
Only to be flying it then realise that the Gatling gun sounded the same as every other planes cannon.. for some reason it could go supersonic?
Would be better if it was more simulator like.. although it was fun to play with targets in every direction!

Demo seemed good. Im going to get this for when my sidewinder precision 2 arrives early next week... Then onto LOMAC
..i also skipped all the cuts scenes because they offered very little other than the cliche' "lets protect the oil/middle eastern benefactors & p*ss all over Africa".
I'l admit its very satisfying getting the skills points. Oh and the video 'test' to total rubbish....gives you super low fps yet playing the game never drops below 60...crank it up further and still runs mint. Seems like a bug.

Another thing that amused me greatly..
Your the squad leader, your two buddys are behind you. In the distance at 30,000 mtrs are a bunch of Mig-29 jets.. you've selected one as a target and are going flat out trying to get there as quickly as possible
You then press 1, which is the callsign to get your buddys to attack the selected target.. THEN!! your two wingmen somehow magically jet off towards the enemy at warp speed......... but.. hang on? were all flying the same plane here!! why can't I go that fast?

Its an arcade game. Get LOMAC (lock on, modern air combat) or something else like Falcon 4 or flight sim for real planes.

completed it tonight. good game but the end was rubbish. enjoyed the rest though

Anyone got a fix for the controls? Why the hell doesn't the right analog stick move the camera? Why can't I slow down enough to stall the plane, and why does the game stop working at the end of every mission when it comes to hitting the continue button after it tells me what awards I've won?
Anyway to remap the buttons? I HATE the default controls, I want A and D to control the rudder not Q and E, I keep switching my weapons or targets rather than to fly left or right. The rest of the buttons are acceptable but still annoying, I want to remap them like battlefield 1942 and 2 is...
Also when you look at your plane from third person ( lctrl ) why on earth can't you make a barrel roll? Except for a vertical loop I can't get the plane upside down at all.
From what I've seen, the physics in this game for the planes are worse than in Desertcombat for bf1942 and in bf2. I'm looking for an arcade game yes, but there's a limit. And I don't want to be bloody limited in how my plane can turn, eg. not being able to do a barrel roll but instead turn in that direction
