Manager Of The Year

I'm not sure I'd give Hiddink anything, even if he managed to win the lot with Chelsea this season. Much like Redknapp, all he's really done is get a bunch of talented players performing at the level they actually should be anyway. Even then he's been somewhat fortunate with results, had some shaky defensive moments, and they're still rarely playing top drawer stuff. He's also not really been there long enough.

I guess Moyes' chance of getting the award hinges on whether he pulls off the upset in the cup final.

So very close to just ignoring you after your James Beattie comment... :p
Why? Pulis made a collection of damned good buys in January, and Beattie was one of them. He's definitely helped Stoke pull themselves away from the relegation fight.

How does getting to 1 final deserve manager of the year ?

What else have they won under moyes
Well, to beat 4 of the top six on the way to winning it would be a pretty impressive achievement, wouldn't it? It's hardly like last season where the big teams were all felled by other clubs. And how many trophies have clubs outside the top 4 won over recent years? Not many.

I can't think of another single player to change a team so much. We totally dominated Arsenal at WHL because of him, we beat your lot largely through him and our defence is now squeeky bum tight because of him. He's a beast.... he could turn out to be the best signing Spurs have made this decade, he's what we've been crying out for, for as long as I can remember.

Did you see what happened at Blackburn when he got sent off? We totally controlled the game, embarrassingly one-sided, he goes off and within 5 mins it's goes from 0-1 to 2-1.... he's massive for us.... I want his babies lol :D

As i said, he's exactly the player you needed. The reason he's the best signing you've made this decade is because you've had managers who sign stupid amount of strikers rather than a decent DMF, its hardly rocket science.

I think you would have stayed up without him, whereas Stoke would have gone down without Beattie, which is why I put so much emphasis on him.

You seem to have a decent amount of knowledge on football but biased is not the word...

I don't think he was the reason that you were better than Arsenal either, he nearly lost you the game due to several severely misplaced passes in dangerous areas in the second half and if Arsenal had anyone decent on the field then they would have capitalised, he had a good first half but a disastrous second half.

Obviously most fans are biased, especially if there's no dead cert such as Ronaldo being POTY last season for example.... but then I think your hatred of Spurs is an influence on your judgement ;) :p

I do think I've got a very good case to argue though..? Not as blindly bias as you're trying to insinuate.

Biased Judgment on what :p ? I've admitted that Palacious is a great signing and exactly the player you need.

But yes, i hate spurs but hate Liverpool more :)

lol i knew i was spelling it wrong the whole time but couldn't be arsed to look it up.

I'll agree to agreeing to disagree ;)

Off topic but it's about time i made a sig, never made one before, anyone wanna point me in the right direction?

Pulis for me. Stoke we absolutely dead certs for relegation according to most people.

Redknapp even being mentioned in this thread is just LOL.

Exactly.

Didn't Redknapp spend something like £40m in January? I don't think any other team in world football spent that much.

Yeah thats whats making me laugh with all this redknapp talk. This is a team who every one expected to be in the uefa cup or as some nutter predicted above arsenal this season.

As I said before look at the players on evertons bench, the fact they have to play rodwell and blood kids who should be playing reserve football while spurs sign Dafoe and Keane. We sign Saha on a pay as you play.

Its a shame we have no money because dafoe would have been mega at everton doing the running for yakubu.

Instead we will end up with another old crock like owen ;)
