gaming keyboard suggestions please :)

Have a Saitek Eclipse 3 - its great, but if you are wanting to go the "macro-maniac" route you may be served better by the G15 and its ilk.

Love my Eclipse 3 - good build, nice illumination options, and comfortable to play on :)

Saitek Eclipse II

Not a "gaming" keyboard as such, but a brilliant keyboard :)
Had mine ages ! love it.

G15 V1.

Looks best, has the best functions, and keys feel decent, can take em out easily to clean under them etc.

I have used plenty of keyboards in my time inc. gaming onces. Saiteks(I, II, III, Cyborg) Logitechs(Most of them inc G's) etc.

But for my vote as the best gaming keyboard sofar must be my Emprex 9051H Cheetah Professional Gaming Keyboard.

Got it from Amazon.uk about 6 months ago, havent looked back since. Superb with almost any game esp. fps (used to often get cramp in my left hand due to my hand and fingers trying positioned them to access the keys and not accidently press the wrong onces, ie, WASD, Shift Ctrl etc, but no more with the Cheeetah, it has an excellent layout for those grouped keys, works for both lefthanders and right). However, as a normal keyboard, ie for a lot of typing work it is not great, mainly due to the wierd layout, only suits games. But easily imo the best out there.

It has my vote. GL with whatever you go for though.

Cheers

Thanks for all the replies people, its always good to have some input from people who are impartial. Anyway Im down to choosing between a G15 and an eclipse 2 I think. I looked at the emprex and it seems really nice but theres a couple of reviews saying the shift and the ctrl keys are badly placed so its hard to use them for gaming. Do you find that you have that problem Soya?

I admit, when I first got it, that was a small problem. But it real easy to get used to it (simply change key assignments), plus there is plenty of way to configure it. The main reason I like it so much, it takes those 'essential' key and puts them on a rotational seperate pad, so for fast hand/finger movements over time, it SO much more comfortable. But like I said, only for gaming, this keyboard is a PAIN in the arse for normal typing, but again, if was patient enough to practice the key layouts, it wouldn't be so bad, but prefer to stick with standard keyboard for 'work' typing etc. Hence its called a gaming keyboard :)
