I've been shopping for a bigger monitor, currently I'm using a Samsung 2032BW which is a pretty nice monitor in itself but at 20" doesn't provide enough space for me. I think a 24" monitor would be ideal for what I do: gaming, video editing and multitasking with browsers, spreadsheets, documents, etc.
I've come across the Iiyama B2409HDS -
- looks kind of drab compared to my Samsung(flashy) but it has terrific specs otherwise 2ms, 20000:1, 300cd/m^2, VGA/DVI/HDMI the only downside appearing to be the 16:9 ratio...
..However, another feature is it's extremely adjustable stand which even allows it to do this -
Now that looks a bit odd to me, too narrow. However, I've decided I'm going to get it and give it a try. I could certainly use a monitor in that configuration in a number of circumstances. It's an interesting find I thought, has anyone seen this monitor in the flesh or have it? and what do you think?
