A night out on Cardiff

Newport is so rough, compared to Cardiff. Cardiff can get a little playful shall we say by Liquid, Flares etc on a Saturday night.

Only a student living in Redland ;)

I've got a couple of friends born and bred in Newport and I think they dislike it more than I do :p
 
I know quite a few people who commute to newport uni from cardiff, they say it really is that bad.

Local nights at cardiff are horrible, student nights are so much more civilised.

Sure there's loads of ****** in places like Lloyds / Varsity, but generally they're there to look for other ******

There's plenty of valley commandos out (roiders from merther/barry etc), but there are few loose cannons imo.

In the 6 years I've lived here, have only seen one incident between my mate and some goon


If you want trouble, it's easy to find :p


I've never been out in Newport, but Merther is one place I just wouldn't venture

It's Merthyr ;) and why not ?
 
i did the doors in merthyr for a bit, including spoons and also some place on a housing estate that got burnt down (not the gurnos, the other estate).

merthyr is a dump :]

The town centre isn't at all bad in the night if its just locals. The problem starts when you get the cream of Welsh Neanderthal coming down from Merthyr or Trinant on benefits day because they have been banned from everywhere else local to them. Its like football hooligans, they only go to Newport to have a fight.

I had a roidhead punch me in the back of the head when I was waiting for a taxi ages ago and his mate was "leave it butt, he just came here for a fight" He tried punching me in the face then and I gave him the finest tuning he ever had. Apparently he is a bit of a nutter and I "shouldn't have done that"

Oh well :D

Swansea Road - both housing estates both are :eek: but there are some small villages there that are pleasant, including some mahooosive houses ;)

horrible estate, funny nights though :D

yeah, some big houses, i've got a relative up somewhere around the nicer area. it doesnt make up for it being the arse hole of the country though :p
 
Jesus, if you think Cardiff is rough try treking up the Valleys.

Cardiff is always a pit on match days/weekends!
