L.A. Officer kicks suspect in the head!

The suspect was an idiot and could have easily have killed someone - hopefully he will get a few months/years for that.

The cop was an idiot - and deserves to be sacked - possibly charged with assault (that simply wasn't justified)
 
He probably deserved it, but that's not for the officer to decide, nor is violence the solution people!

The american police always seem more heavy handed, I think this is a result of gun crime and the fact they can't give people an inch of room incase they get shot. Even if they're not armed I think the extra agression still happens, not like our police, they're way too friendly for figures of authority.
 
Perfectly normal behaviour for American police. A kick in the head is the first and only warning. After that it's bullet time.
 
If the suspect is complying as that man appeared to be then there is no excuse for kicking them in the head so should at the very least be harshly disciplined and probably dismissed. Hopefully his actions don't affect the punishment that the suspect will receive for his crime(s) but meting out his own brand of justice may unfortunately lead to the arrest being less than safe.
 
Great! If only UK police would be so heavy handed then it might put some fear into criminals. Guy made the cop run, I'd want to kick him in the head too! :p
 
Didn't seem nescecary, the perpetrator had adopted a submissive position and certainly appears to be giving himself up to the penal system.
