Well the obvious choice is, buy something other than a Sciroco at this point in time, but if you really want one badly enough to spend 20k on it, then I guess you don't want to do that. I'm also pretty sure that you will get bored of it long before 10 years, I give it 3 tops![]()
Lol, well I never got bored of my Corsa, Ive been perfectly happy with it. That said my GF and I will need another car at somepoint, so when that time comes if im bored she can have the Scirocco (or whatever I get now) and ill get something new, but 200bhp is plenty for me to be happy as far as I can see.

Otherwise a Mk5 Golf GTI is basically the same car for half the price.
I will definately look into some Golfs and see what I can find (I like the car well enough but while I have no commitments I want to make the most of not needing a practical car). The problem with waiting is that within 6 months my corsa will need, MOT and tax and a hefty service (the head gasket is leaking amongst other issues so its going to cost a lot) and I may lose on the scrapage scheme ending.
Those are just my throughts, I will definately have a look around before I get anything though.
