Dear Sir/Madam,
Enclosed is my CV as I am interested in working for your company on a part time basis whilst I study. I am available to work straight away throughout the summer until my course resumes in September. At which point I would have access to my timetable and modifications can be made so I can work around it. It would be possible to accept overtime depending on my workload.
I believe I would be suited to work for you and wish to know more about your current vacancies.

Kind regards,

<name>.

To whom it may concern,

Please find my enclosed CV for you consideration in respect of any part-time vacancies that you currently have available.

I am available immediately and very keen to be be given an opportunity to work within your organisation.

Please do not hesitate to contact me should you require any further information.

Kind regards,

I would probably say something like that ^^^ (I didn't use spellcheck so probably some errors).

Don't bother going into detail about when your course resumes or overtime - you can discus those sorts of things at an interview/when you've got the job.

Good luck!

I disagree. I use the covering letter to supplement my (roughly generic) CV, explaining in detail why I am applicable for the specific job I am applying for, including taking the time to write a unique covering letter.
