What happens to Arbeloa then?
He's wanted to return to Spain for the last year or so and he's only got 1 year left on his deal. It's looking like he'll be off to Real.
What happens to Arbeloa then?
Arbeloa is a perfectly adequate fullback but, like you say, maybe not title-winning material. With Johnson and Insua bombing on, and Xabi and Masch (if he stays) guarding the centre backs, we could be really strong. Just need some cover for Torres now, and not to lose our central midfielders.

When he hasn't been injured Aurelio has really improved in the last 2 seasons. He has become more consistent and has put in some really impressive European performances.Tbh i think you could do with signing another full back.
For me Aurelio and Arbeloa just don't cut it.
Is insua ready to win the leauge?
Well.... he's already won the world cup..![]()
To sit on the bench behind Ramos. Hmm
Its the right side that worries me.
Good move in getting Johnson (although the price is hard to swallow) but if Arbeloa goes then we're back to square one. We need a backup if Johnson gets injured. I'm not happy with Carrahger filling in because I think he's simply not good enough in that position.
or that Degen actually exists.
Degan is a ficticious player who the papers made up on a slow news day![]()
