Yay for air con... boo for fuel economy! \o/

Today it's beating hot, I washed the car and just standing outside made my head feel like it had a coolant leak (!).

Luckily enough I sat in the car with AC on for a few mins and felt a lot better.

Climate control is win, sometimes too win.....didn't want to go back into the house :O
 
Lol for low mpg with aircon on - mines doing about 45mpg with it off and 43mpg with it on, really not worth worrying about when the weather's like this!

Could use a regas though, the pressure switch is right on the edge so once I get above a certain altitude it turns off lol...
 
After sitting in my sweat-box un-airconditioned XJS for the first month or so of the summer heat, I have to say it was a refreshing experience just dropping the roof on my MX5 for the drive home.

Tip for all those without aircon: Buy one of those mini car fridges and put it over your head

Poor People ONLY have aircon.

What does that make you if you have Dual Zone Climate control?

Oh, and I leave it on most of the time as well - doesn't seem to make any difference to mpg - but it does have a nice Cosworth V6 driving it.
 
I only use mine when absolutly a must, I'm an idiot and bought poly engine mounts to use on a 4pot.

The extra load on the engine at tick over causes diesel like vibrations. eww.
 
Have air con in the SX and the mondeo, the mondeos is out of gas as the moment so i am cooking in the car at the moment will be getting it recharged soon before i venture down to Kent in August.
 
a heatwave is apparently en route.. for all those non-air-conned drivers out there, I have a plan! Modify the windscreen washers to squirt inside the car, and have the windows down :D
Worst case scenario, you'll just be really, really clean..

Megane is the first car Ive had with aircon and bar de-misting at 11pm at night after work I have not used it. Really thought I would. I really wished my 19 had aircon it could be quite uncomfortable in the summer, having leather is such a double edged sword :( I also wish the sprinters we have at work had aircon, huge windows just turn the cab into a greenhouse. On the plus side the freezer compartment does make a nice place to shove your head :D

Although aircon would be nice, i don't need it as my car is just fine with the windows down and the sun roof open..............i just need to turn the music up more so i can't hear the wind and rattling from the car :p
 
Been out in the work's van all day today and jeesus have I missed the air-con. Back in the office it's no better, can't wait to get in the car and not sure I'm getting out of it when home.
